FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots will recognize the 10th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center before Thursday night's exhibition game against the New York Giants.
Rex Ryan and the Jets visited the World Trade Center site and met surprised construction workers there a little less than two weeks before the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Several team members viewed the site for about a half-hour Wednesday after attending the Jets' annual kickoff luncheon at Cipriani's Wall Street.

Rex Ryan has issued a challenge to anyone who thinks his Jets defense will be anything less than elite. "Put your negative comments out there," New York's confident coach said Tuesday, "and we'll see what happens at the end." If you ask Ryan, there's no doubt what his aggressive attacking-style defense will accomplish this season.
The New York Giants have been given an extension by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in cutting their roster.
