The New York sports pages on May 17 were dominated with headlines like "Revis on the bandwagon," referring to Darrelle Revis' praise of Tim Tebow's football prowess and intangibles.
The New York Jets got a little bit younger at the defensive end position with the No. 16 overall selection of North Carolina standout Quinton Coples in the 2012 NFL Draft held on Apr. 26, but the young man will be creeping up in age as he turns 22 years old on June 22.
Deadspin, a sports and pop culture website mostly known for its ridiculous commentary and sarcastic tone, surprised me by hitting the proverbial nail on the head on the "What if Tim Tebow were gay?" issue.
Thanks to an offseason trade the New York Jets now find themselves with Tim Tebow on their roster. As it so happens, the Jets are in the same division as the Miami Dolphins, which means they will play the Jets twice in the upcoming 2012 season as they do every year. This is great news for me as I am a true "Dolfan" and want nothing more than to see the team beat Tim Tebow and company two times this season.
The New York Jets deserve a ton of credit for convincing fans and the local media that the locker-room issues that cost the team a playoff spot in 2011 are a thing of the past.

Tim Tebow's appearance on "The Bachelor" would have been a win-win situation for both the 24-year-old NFL star and the popular ABC reality show.
